After Toy-R-Us, which has been around for so long, many other retailers are struggling. There is just too much saturation and on-line buyers.
With on-line shopping, buyers go to the brick and mortar stores first. Then the buyers go home and get the best price on-line. Many on-line stores offer free shipping; E-bay offers even free shipping on many items, too. Many of these stores end up being a “showroom” for their on-line competitors.
One of my favorite stores is PetSmart. It is just something about bringing your dog into the store. Not only do I pick up the items I need but also enjoy looking at the other dogs. My dogs love it, too.
This is one store, I hope avoids bankruptcy. My dogs feel the same way too
Among the bankruptcies so far this year are Bon-Ton Stores, which filed in February and Bi-Lo, which owns the store chains Winn-Dixie and Tops Friendly Markets.
